WOMEN IN TEA VALUE CHAIN ASSOCIATION (WITEVA) is a
Non-Political, Non-Profit and Non-Religious Association existing
under The Societies Act (Cap 108) in the Republic of Kenya since
founding in 2023.
Our overall is to Promote, Protect and Advocate
for a just gender inclusion in the tea value chain and industry in
Kenya.
WITEVA strive to protect the dignity, potential worth and right of every member
WITEVA integrates good Leadership at all levels and uphold honesty, trustworthiness and transparency in all undertakings
WITEVA strive to attain the highest standards of professionalism in all that it does
WITEVA strive to fairly handle its respective members and its stakeholders regardless of Social, Cultural, Economic and Political backgrounds
WITEVA believe in participatory teamwork so that its members and stakeholders take ownership of the processes, operations and outcomes
To promote high standards of human rights and labor
rights, including safe working conditions, which are based on the core
ILO Conventions and the Constitution of Kenya 2010, as well as the
ILO Violence and Harassment Convention, and the Convention on the
Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW.)
To empower women in the tea Sector through
Capacity Building, Advocacy and Livelihood Strengthening.
